Farm Day

Rach and I took the kiddos to Miller Farms. The kiddos had a blast riding on tractors, playing in the fire truck and jumping on the pillow. But the best part was going on the hay ride to pick vegatables. We picked, onions, corn, pumpkins, cabbage, celery, carrots, and potatoes. The kids shucked the corn during the hay ride and ate it straight from the cobb, it was delicious!!

Helper Hud

My "helper Hud" is so sweet, he really tries so hard to be help me anyway he can. He doesn't exactly always get the orders right or just makes a big mess, for example tonight after eating a bowl of cookies n' cream icecream I asked Hud to clean up in the bathroom, when he came back he was waving his bowl saying, "I cleaned my bowl in the sink Mom", while his face was still a mess. Another example is last week while I was bringing in the grocery "helper Hud" climbed up into the back of the Armada and carried in a dozen eggs on it's side, upside down. By the time I noticed he was carrying them it was too late, he dropped and broke an entire dozen eggs on the carpet! Although Hud makes a bigger mess while helping I am very appreciative of him trying and his thoughtfulness. I love you Hud!!

Happy 5th Birthday Berkleigh!!! You are such a sweet, lovable, beautiful and smart girl. You make Mommy and Daddy so happy! We love you Bear!

We had a great 4th. On Sunday we went to a BBQ at Aunt Rachel's and then went to a big firework show on the golf course. Then on Monday we went up North to Brady and Emily's house and had an EPC BBQ, the kids got to to go on the 4-wheeler, ride horses, and do fireworks. Bear loved it all but Hud was terrified of the pony, (can't blame him because it bucked Uncle Tyler off), the 4-wheeler (once he saw Brady tip it) and was scared of the fireworks (which he did get burned by sparkler the night before). Regardless we all had a blast...Happy 4th of July!

Bear Lake

The kiddos and I went to Bear Lake last week. We had fun hanging out with family, playing in the sand, and riding the 4-wheelers, Bear even rode the wave runner despite the 60 degree weather.

My Mom came into town for a week and then was so kind to help me drive back to Salt Lake with the kids. While she was here we went to Estes Park for the weekend. We had a blast hiking, seeing lots of Elk, and hanging out on Main St.

We got the kiddos picture taken at an old fahion studio on Main St, Berkleigh was really excited about wearing a princess and dress and Hud was just stoked to hold a gun.

Opposites

I honestly don't think my kids could be any more opposite. Of course they are opposite sexes, but their personalities are exactly opposite too, which can be a bit of a challenge when deciding on an activity to do together. The other day I got the kiddos all ready and we were just about out the door when Bear said, "where are we going?", when I said the Library Hudson screamed out, "NOOOOOOOOO!!!" as if I was sending him to time out for the day. I have to admit the Library can be quite painful for Hud, it is everything he doesn't like, quiet, inside, walking only, and he finds storytime a bit of a bore. Where Berkleigh LOVES to read, she spends hours each day reading. Seeing that we live in a small apartment and we don't have very many toys here a typical day consists of me reading Berkleigh books while I am playing catch with Hud at the same time.Hud likes anything that is fast, loud, or involves a ball. He spends hours each day shooting basketballs, dribbling and riding his scooter.

Where Berkleigh loves rules and thrives on structure Hud thrives on total chaos. When we were driving in the car the other day Hudson said, "Mom, drive fast!" and I began to accelerate Berkleigh started crying, "NO Mom slow down I don't want you to get a ticket".

Although they are so difference one thing they have in common is they LOVE spending time together. Berkleigh is an awesome big sister who is always looking out for her brother and taking care of him. And Hud looks up to Berkleigh, and never wants to leave her side. The other day Josh took Berkleigh to his office and Hud was so sad without his sister he kept on asking when she was coming home. They truly do have such a special bond.

I had an amazing Mother's Day. It started with sleeping in, then waking up to Josh making me french toast, next we took the kiddos to the Zoo. It was a gorgeous day in the mid 80's, so we had to stop for ice cream, then we went to downtown Denver walked around and then ate on 16th street. I am one lucky Mommy!! I have two healthy, beautiful, smart children and one amazing husband. I am blessed.

We went to the Butterfly Pavilion for a Easter egg hunt Saturday morning. It was perfect for the kiddos they each got five eggs and got to do a craft. It was chilly but thankfully it was not snowing. On Easter morning we did our own egg hunt.

The kiddos and I have had a blast exploring our new city. There is a butterly pavilion down the street so we have been there a few times. We have also gone to Boulder, Ft. Collins, Denver, Bear started gymnastics, Hud climbing class, rode scooters, gone to the park, gone to storytime at the Library,visited Aunt Rach, and joined a gym so the kids have had fun going in the daycare. I need to get better at bringing my camera (or should I say taking it out of the purse), but I do have pics of the butterly pavilion.

An Adventure

We have had quite an adventure so far moving to Colorado, or as Hud would say, Call-a-raw-do. It began with Bear being diagnosed with croup the day before the move. Then the day of the move the cough had spread to Hud, my mom also had a horrible cough and Berkleigh woke up with diareaha. Needless to say all three of them were hacking uncontrollably the entire drive, the cougt was not a good combo with Bear's upset stomach. And seeing that we were driving through the middle of nowhere in Wyoming we had to make frequent stops off the side of the road for her to go to the bathroom. Poor girl finally had to resort to wearing one of Hud's diapers.

About 5 hrs into the drive everyone finally feel asleep until I noticed a sign that we were 96 miles from the next town and the gas tank was almost empty. I hurried and pulled off the next exit and was driving around the little town in a panic looking for a gas station when I got pulled over for speeding. Thankfully the cop could see the panic in my eyes and let me go with a warning and directed us towards a gas station.

Although the kids coughed and we had to make frequent stops the kid were absolutely PERFECT in the car. Once we got to our new place though it has been quite an adjustment having the kids sleep in the same room. Between them waking each other up coughing, Berkleigh going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, and Hud waking up at 5:30 saying, "it not dark anymore". And then Josh came down with a severe sinus infection. Let's just say we are all sleep deprived.

On the flip side the apartment is really nice and we are settling in well. I think Hud is totally confused he said , "this is a house, go to Colorado". Berkleigh said, "mom when are we going to the small apartment? This apartment is big and has everything we need." She is right our two bedroom apartment honestly doesn't feel small, it has made me realize you really don't need that much space.

My mom was so nice to drive out with us and help us move in. Berkleigh was really upset taking her to the airport on the way back home Hud kept on saying, "Nanny come back". So far our move has been an adventure but hopefully everyone will get well soon so we can venture out.

Well it is offical we are moving to Colorado. Josh's new company, EPC Protection, headquarters are in Colorado and he has been traveling there for the last year. We are renting a furnished apartment in Broomfield CO for the summer while our house sells in Salt Lake. The real challenge has been trying to pack the car to leave for 4 months.

I wanted to post these pictures of the house mainly so I can remember it.

Since Berkleigh has a summer birthday at school they celebrated her birthday last week. When I asked Bear what her favorite thing in the world is she said, "playing Go Fish". Considering we play it at least 10 times a day and she frequently gives up other privledges to play more I was not surprised by her response. So, I had a fish cake made and we gave all the kids in her class their own Go Fish game. She also made a mobile about her other favorite things which are, spending time with family, dancing, and her favorite food is spaghetti.

sWe had a lot of love in our home on Valentines Day. The day started out with I love you pancakes. Then Josh took Bear to buy me (and Bear) roses, when they went to the store Bear said to Josh, "well what about me I am your beautiful girl too". So he bought two sets of roses. Next we made Valentines. For dinner we had a heart shaped pepperoni pizza and for dessert we make sugar cookies. We sure had a fun day. I love my family!

Thanks to our in house travel agent (a.k.a. Mimi), she planned a trip to Seattle just two days prior to leaving and was nice to let the kiddos and I tag along. Layla didn't even know Bear was coming, not only was she surprised to see Bear but both girls be suprised to be wearing the same dress. Berkleigh was in heaven playing with Layla and Makenna, dressing the same, playing house, putting on a play, and just being silly. And Hud had a blast jumping on the bounce house with Weston. We also got to see Aunt Mandy, her 3 dogs, and cut new house. One day we took the kiddos to the Aquarium which

is right on the water downtown. After we went to the Crabpot and ate delicious seafood, the kids loved the shrimp and had fun helping crack open the crab legs.

My Baby Boy Is Two!

Even though Hudson looks like he is 5, says he is 5, rides a two wheeled scooter himself, can make a 6 ft 8" basketball shot, and his big sister calls him her, "big brother", I still can't beleive my baby is already two!

It has been so much fun watching Hudson grow, learn, and see his personality develop. One of my favorite stories about Hudson's size happend last summer at the State Fair I was asked if Hudson was "slow", I asked why and the person replied, "well he is 4 and doesn't talk", (he was only 18 months). Although he took a little long to talk (now everything is not yellow) he is now talking in mini sentences which has been so nice for me to understand his wants and needs. Hud is like a fine wine, he just gets better with age! These are the things I know for sure Hud loves:

* shooting the basketball
* kicking the soccer ball
* riding the 4-wheeler
* riding his bike and scooter
* trains and trucks
* playing with sister
* fruit snacks
* body slamming daddy
* brusing his teeth
* playing with his cousins
* playing outside
* being on the go
* his night night

And things he doesn't like so much:

* someone other than Mommy getting him from his crib

A few things I admire about Hudson are: his determination, for example he will shoot the basketball even if it takes hours until he makes a shot. His passion for sports, before he could talk he could distinguish the differences between a scoccer ball, basketball, football and baseball and could show you exactly what you do with each one. I adore Hudson's smile, it lights up the entire room, and even though he is wild and crazy most of the time he also has the sweetest side, he gives the best kisses ever, he will stop playing and say, "daddy kiss", walk over to Josh's office just to give him a kiss. Hudson enjoys doing just about anything with his sister, even playing barbies and babies, a few days away he was determined to take one of Berkleigh's American Girl doll to Costco, which he carried around the entire store.

Hudson I love you more than words can express.

Christmas Season

We had a very eventful and fun December this year!! Bear kept busy all month with her 2 dance performances, school Christmas party, school singing performance, and singing at the ward Christmas party. Hud keep busy running around town with me, playing in the snow, playing with cousins and eating lots of yummy treats. And I kept very busy making Josh a scrapbook for his 30th Birthday, making scrapbooks for Josh from kiddos, making family tree projects, planning the ward Christmas party (we had a live nativity with real animals even a camel!!), baking Christmas cookies, Christmas shopping, decorating the house for Christmas, making gingerbread houses, spending time with friends and family, and missing Josh!!!!

Josh was gone working in Colorado all of November except for Thanksgiving (which we spend in Vegas) and then for another 3 weeks on December, so the kids and I flew out to visit him and then we all drove back home together for Christmas. It was so nice to have time together just the 4 of us!!! We spend the week relaxing and hanging out with friends.

We drove home on the 23rd...just in time for Christmas. We went on a night time sleigh ride with the Wilkinson family on the 24th. Had Christmas Eve dinner at my moms. Then Pops and Nana Jo came to town Christmas Day and spend the day with us. Santa treated the kids well, Hud got a train table (which he loves!!) and Bear got an ipod, camera, and tag reader (I cried myself to sleep that night...she is 4 going on 16!! what happend to my baby?).

Hudson was so excited to sit on Santa's lap! Unfortunately I only have a hard copy of the photo Festival of Trees took of Hud flipping Santa off while screaming, it is hilarious.

Berkleigh told me how she was making a "secret" gift for Josh and I at school for Christmas. Well it was a secret until one day I told her to come and see the calendar I was making for Josh she completly froze, her face turned pale white and then started crying hysterically. When I asked what was wrong she looked up from her hands covering her face and said, "for goodness sakes mom, you ruined it you ruined the surprise." Poor girl was devastated. She gave us the calendar the night of the performance (which was a lot cuter than mine anyway), every month has her handprints forming different shapes & pictures to represent that month.

For Nanny's Birthday Berkleigh and I took her to see the Nutcracker for Bear's first time. We really enjoy our time with Nanny!

At Aunt Rachel's house in Colorado. Rach and Jeremy were so kind to open their house up to us. The kiddos had a blast playing with Cooper (Jeremy's son), playing on the playground, going to Monkey Business, and riding bikes.

The hotel we stayed at was decked out with Christmas decorations, they even had a real gingerbread house made from scratch. Right when we checked into the hotel Santa happened to be in the gingerbread house, Bear ran straight up to him asking for a camera, ipod, barbie, and musicbox. Hudson on the other hand screamed folding his arms saying, "Santa scary".

I recently got the kiddos pictures taken. They all turned out so cute I can't decide which one to use for our Christmas card. Berkleigh loved the camera, she posed herself for every picture. Hud on the other hand didn't want Berkleigh near him, and didn't want to sit still, which made it really difficult to get pictures of the two of them together. But all in all I loved the way they turned out.

Tonight after Berkleigh had been asleep for over 3 hours she came downstairs to tell me, "Mom, I just want to thank you for all the nice things you do for Hudson and I. Is Less Really More?

I agree with the statement less is more in many different ways except for when it involves Hudson's sleep patterns. Hud has gone from 2 naps down to one and the problem is he takes his nap from 10 am to 12 pm and so by 4 he is exhausted. At this point I am honestly counting down the minutes til bedtime and everyday it feels like a lifetime.

Today I ran in a 10k race through mud, climbed fences, jumped over hay barrels, slide down water slide, and swam in muddy river. We had a team of 5 including my sister Nicole and 3 of her friends. It was a ton of fun! The most painful part was waiting in the 1 hr. long line to take an ice cold shower to rise of the mud....just the thought still gives me chills.

Libby Lou...you are missed

Our sweet dog Libby passed away last month. A few months leading up to her passing Libby had aged a ton, she had gotten really slow, tired, struggling to breathe and having difficulty getting up and down. It progressively got worse each day until one day Josh literally had to pick her up off the ground and take her to the bathroom. Then the next day we decided to take her to the Vet. That is when we found out she had Cancer throughout her entire body and a large tumor blocking her air passage way. Josh and I had difficult time deciding what to do but we decided we should do keep her alive for our own selfish reasons. So we took her home let the kids say goodbye, feed her a nice meal, and then put her down.

Bear has really had a hard time with Libby's passing. She balled her eyes out when we broke the news to her. She was really concerned how the angels could carry Libby up to Heaven because she is so heavy and was worried Jesus wouldn't know what to feed her.

Libby was such a sweet mellow dog who loved kids, going on walks, Bear Lake and being pet. She loved it when Berkleigh kissed her, rode on her back, played catch, gave treats, and walked her. Bear would hold Libby's leash while riding her bike and Libby enjoyed running right next to her. Libby was a great companion, vaccum, and running mate.

We love you Libby...you are greatly missed!!

Hudson (19 months old) just started to call me "Mama"! Finally I get some credit...I am so proud! Not only is he calling me "Mama" but he is talking so much more everyday. Just within the last week his vocabulary has grown from 10 to 30 words.

Berkleigh turned 4 on August 9th and we had a fun and eventful weekend celebrating. On Saturday Bear had a party with all of her girlfriends at So Cupcake, we made bracelets, read Pinkalicious, and decorated cupcakes. Then on Sunday we had a little party with our families and a few close friends in our backyard and I made "surprise cupcakes". Monday was Bear's actual Birthday and so we went to McDonald's for breakfast and rode Brit's horse Jammer in the evening.

When Bear woke up on her Birthday she said, "what does a 4 yr. old even do?.

We spoiled Bear and bought her the Escalade power wheels. She really wanted the Barbie Jeep but I didn't feel comfortable with my son driving a pink Barbie Jeep around the neighborhood.

I can't believe my baby girl is 4! Bear is so beautiful and I love watching her grow and learn everyday. She is so kind, sensitive, caring, loving, and smart. Berkleigh favorite things are reading books, doing crafts, helping me cook, dancing, teasing her dad, and playing with her brother. We love you Berkleigh!!

Colorado

Last week we went on a family vacation to Colorado. Josh was there working for the week so the kids and I flew in for the 4th of July. We had an really great time hanging out with our friends, going to the Aquarium, Rockies vs. Giants baseball game, watching fireworks, riding ponies, and swimming.

At the Golf Course they sold tickets to blow up slides, jumpers, food, candy, and toys. The kiddos were so excited when they saw the cart selling light swords. Hud got the traditonal sword and Bear got a butterfly wand that played music. Hud didn't stop swinging the sword and Bear didn't stop dancing to music on wand all night long.

Hud surprisingly loved the firework show, he sat in my lap the entire time mesmerized by them. When it was over he kept signing more please.

Cousins

We recently had a fun week in Bear Lake with all the Hatch cousins. Despite the bad weather we had a lot of fun riding the 4-wheeler, playing games, watching movies, reading books, and playing with the kiddos. Hudson and Weston had an eating contest just about every meal and also enjoyed playing air hockey together. Poor Carson had a full cast on from hip to ankle making it hard for him to avoid getting hit by a ball or run over by a truck. Bear and Layla loved playing house, games, crafts, and playing in the water the one nice day we had.

Everytime I pull out the camera Hudson squints his eyes, raises his upper lip and sticks out his chin and says, "cheese".

Berkleigh and I recently got back from an action packed fun filled trip to Disneyland. Josh was so kind to stay home with Hudson which was nice to just be able to focus on Bear. We flew to California with Angelica and Layla and met up with Makenna and Mimi staying with our family friends The Stucki's. Berkleigh and Layla were sooo excited to meet the Princesses of course they needed to wear Princess dresses which Mimi was so kind to buy. They wore the dresses half of the first day and the entire second day. Aubrey Stucki a.k.a Sleeping Beauty (literally) was so kind to the girls and made them feel so special. She asked about their little brothers and showed them how to do Princess twirls which Berkleigh is still showing off.

Berkleigh's favorite ride was Small World which we went on twice in a row and her least favorite ride was Mr. Toad's Wild Ride which she is still having nightmares about. We spent two days at the Park and one day swimming at the Stucki's house. We all had such a great time going on rides, seeing all the charcters, eating lots of treats, hanging out and laughing. Bear's smile the entire trip was priceless. She told me after the first day it was her best day ever!

My best friend Mandy Simonich got married a few weeks ago. I was her Maid of Honour, Berkleigh the Flower Girl and Hudson the Ring Bearer. Unfortunately, I was so busy with the Wedding I only got one picture. But Berkleigh and Hudson were so cute walking down the aisle, Berkleigh lead the bunch of flower girls and Hudson was trailing not to far behind, after he walked up the wrong aisle, but eventually he found his way. I was really nervous he was so going to throw the ring pillow considering he throws anything he can get his hand on but surprisingly he didn't!! The Wedding was gorgeous and I am so happy for Pete and Mandy!!

Bear had her Preschool Graduation Program a few weeks ago, her class sang a few songs...so cute!! Her name was listed in the program as Beautiful Berkleigh Hatch, that she is. After the program we had family and friends over for cake and ice cream. Everytime we go to Target Bear wants to look at the Barbie cake displayed in the bakery. So I decided to try to make my own for her. Not as pretty but tasted better...

Bear had her dance recital yesterday and she didn't miss a step!! She was talking her self up in the car on the way there saying, "I can do this I know I can, I am brave and not afraid of the dark." And she was right she rocked the house. She had quite the audience too between my Mom, Mel, Brit, Kenna, Nana, Grandpa, and Pops.

Scary my baby girl is 3 going on 16, I am not sure I am ready for this.

Mother's Day

On Mother's Day Bear said to me, "Mom today is your lucky day", and all I could think is, "everyday is my lucky day". I have an amazing husband who loves me and 2 beautiful healthy kids I am fortunate to spend everyday with, what more could I ask for?

My family spoild me on Mother's Day. I slept in then woke up to a delicious breakfast and gifts from Josh and kids. Berkleigh sang every word front and center in Sacrament meeting. Then we went to see Brit's new horse Jammer, and then off to my Mom's for dinner.

Berkleigh was SO excited for Mother's Day, she made me a gift at school and when she brought it home she said, "mom it is a secret you can't open it until Mother's Day, I can't tell you what it is but it might be a little book".

Berkleigh has been going around telling everyone the story of Jesus's resurrection, I am amazed at all the details she can remember. Josh has an office in Colorado and was nice enough to invite us to go with him on his business trip. Despite Hudson getting 4 teeth within the 5 days we were gone he was perfect on the drive. Seeing the cows out the window entertained Hudson the whole drive he pointed outside and said, " cow moooooooo". It was fun to see Aunt Rach, Emily, and sight see. When we got home Hudson got another 2 teeth, 6 within 10 days....ouch!

New Look

There is a good chance if you saw Hudson you would not recgonize him. Not only did he start walking on February 20th (13 months old) but he got a new haircut too! Josh and I were in Dallas for a work convention for 48 hours and when I walked in the door he walked right over to me, I couldn't believe it. Both of us are enjoying his new freedom. The funny thing is he always has to be carrying something in his hand while walking, preferably a ball or phone. And he walks around saying "catch" or really "atch", throws whatever he has in his hand and says "ahh" when he puts phone to his ear.

And for his new do...well that was not intentional. I had the grand idea to give him a haircut myself, it can't be that difficult right? Wrong. Trying to keep a 1 yr. old still with a razor in hand is not a good mix. I accidently shaved an entire strip up the back totally bald. We were both crying and there was hair all over my house. So off to the haircut place we went where they buzzed it all off.

Since Berkleigh has a summer birthday at school they celebrated her half birthday. She got to bring home the special Birthday Bear for 2 days and was asked to bring in her favorite thing to share with her classmates. Considering she LOVES to read and LOVES the color pink it was an easy choice to read her favorite book Pinkalious and decorated pink cupcakes.

Bear also got to have a girls night out and get her nails and toes done with Mom too. When we got home she wanted to show off her new dance costume, which she begged to sleep in. I think it is offical I have definite girly girl on my hands!!!

Well it has been 1 yr. and I am still trying to figure Hudson out. He is in every way possible opposite from Berkleigh. I figured when having a second child you are experienced and know what to expect, right? This is obviously not the case here. Although, Hudson can be out of control (literally) at times he has the most amazing smile, somehow I can forget the last hour of screaming once he smiles, it does melt my heart.

Holiday Season

We had a very fun and eventful filled Holiday Season. It was the first year Berkleigh really understood Christmas and loved building gingerbread houses, singing in her school program, sitting on Santa's lap, making a Christmas list, buying toys and clothes for the needy and decorating. Berkleigh is in fact still in the Holiday spirit and will only answer to Mary and has given everyone in the house new names, Hudson is an angel, I am Joseph, Josh is a Shepard, and her baby doll is Jesus.

Hudson really enjoyed the commotion with Christmas, he cried sitting on Santa's lap but enjoyed the Zoo lights, opening presents, and playing with his cousins.

Josh and I were even able to spent a weekend in Deer Valley just the two of us, we stayed at the brand new St. Regis which was absolutely gorgeous!!

I am a little far behind but I thought I better post some pictures before it's Christmas. We went to St. George for Thanksgiving, the weather was fabulous and catching up with family was even better. The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Pops and Nana Jo.

I have so many things to be thankful for, an incredible husband, two beautiful, smart, healthy kids, good health, wonderful friends and family, and a beautiful home, just to name a few.

Since we have been home Hudson has gotten 4 teeth and a sinus infection. This week is the first time he has been happy and has slept more than 1 hr. during the night. Berkleigh and I also got the flu but luckily Josh came home from work and took care of us. Luckily we are all better right before Christmas.

Over the last few weeks both Hudson and Berkleigh have experienced many first's. From Halloween to Hudson's new moves it has been a lot of fun!!!!!

Hudson starting crawling on November 5th (9 months old), I thought the day would never come, he has been rocking on his knees for over 2 months!!! We are both enjoying his new found freedom. Now he can get what he wants and he keeps himself entertained.

Although, it is time to baby proof the house, I never needed to with Berkleigh because she never got into trouble. Hudson has only been crawling for a few days and already he has mastered putting fingers in light sockets, opening cabinets and pulls out dishes, chewing on electrical cords, and this is just the beginning.

When Berkleigh told Josh she was going to be a Princess, Hudson a giraffe, me a witch, and Josh a giant he said, "perfect no need to buy costumes this year".

Last week we went to Cornbelly's down at Thanksgiving Pointe. Bear was excited to dress up as Princesses with her cousin Ry and friend Elle. Hudson is one wild boy, no he is not crawling yet, but he sure gets around pretty quickly steam rolling. I have actually lost him a few times and ended up finding him stuck under the table, chair, my bed, and the coffee table. Although, I recently found out Berkleigh helps him get around too when I leave the room she pulls him around by his feet, which he thinks is hilarious. He really enjoys just about anything Berkleigh does to him, the rougher the better. I think she is going to regret how rough she is with him in a few months when he fights back.

Today was Berkleigh's first day of Preschool. Although I cried all morning Bear wasn't nervous or sad at all. In fact when I dropped her off she said to her teacher,"my mom is going to miss me".

After school she goes straight to dance class where she learns tap, jazz, and ballet. When I picked her up she was so excited to tell me about everything she learned and show me a few new moves.

Today Berkleight turned 3!!!! I can't believe my baby girl is getting so old. Yesterday we had a party for her in the backyard, we did crafts, jumped on the bouncer, played on the playground, and ate pizza and cake with all her cousins and friends. Even Pops came in town for the party. Berkleigh was most excited about her Tinkerbell cake.

Today we let Bear choose whatever she wanted to do and she chose the Alpine Slides. It was a fun weekend!!!!

Last weekend my good friends Jessie Hays and Tyler Anderson got married and Berkleigh had the privilege of being the flower girl. The wedding was gorgeous and Berkleigh did an amazing job. It helped that she had a crush on the ring bearer they held hands and hugged and kissed the entire time waiting to walk down the aisle. She keeps on telling people how she married Ashton.

Wow, it's crazy that Hudson is now 6 months old!!! He is no longer a little newborn. Now he is my string bean, seriously this kid is soooo long!!! His lastest stats from the doctor were:

Weight 18 pds (50%)
Height 29 inches (off the charts)
Head (75%)

The more I think about it the more I realize how much Hudson is just like his dad. He is tall, skinny, handsome, has the same hair line, very social, smiles a lot, funny, likes his own space, and very testy when hungry or tired.

Hudson is now eating solid foods. Which I think is really nice because he has had some serious stomach problems and I am hoping having more options will help. Also, it's nice because Berkleigh loves to feed him and it keeps both of them entertained!! So far he likes sweet potatoes, apples, banannas and papaya the best!! And he is obsessed with this little food compartment that holds fresh fruit, (seriously when he drops this thing you would think it is the end of the world).

We recently got back from Cancun, it was our first family vacation together since Hudson. And it was a blast!!! (except for the plane ride home, Hudson cried on and off for 3 hrs). But all things considering (no swine flu, sunburn, food poisoning, etc.) the kiddos did really well and had lots of fun. The resort we stayed at was really nice it had everything we needed and then some. It was really kid friendly too they even stocked the kids fridge with kids drinks and brought snacks and candy to the room daily!!

Bear spent every day floating in the pool, swimming up to the bar to order apple juice, building sand castles, sliding down the water slide, and going to shows at night. What more could a 2 yr. old ask for? Hudson even enjoyed the pool for his first time too.

The best part about the trip... family time with no distractions, no cell phone or computer for 6 days!!!!

We have been telling Bear that once she was potty trained we would get her a playground. Well that day finally came and after 3 full days of hard work putting it together, (thanks Aunt Christy and Uncle Mike) it is now complete!!!

Berkleigh's only requirement for her playground is that it had a window and that pretty much narrowed it down to one option, (got to love the mind of a 2 yr. old). When she first saw it finished she said, "wow mom I love it, I really do, I really love it, thank you".

It has a picnic bench to sit on and so we brought a bunch of play food out so Bear could play "order man" where she fixes you whatever you want for lunch.

Berkleigh had her first dance performance this weekend. It was so much fun watching her! Who would have thought my shy reserved daughter would be such a performer? She was loving dancing on stage, when it came time for her solo she stood there yelling, "turn the music louder"! Once the music was up she was ready to perform.

Her teacher, Miss Michelle is absolutely incredible. After the performance we had pizza and cake with everyone that come out to support her. Thank you everyone for coming!

Let's just say the last 6 weeks have been a challenge. Ever since we got back from Hawaii and Hudson was diagnosed with Thrush he has never been the same. I thought he had just become a more difficult baby until about 2 weeks ago he had a really great week. Then this last weekend was really rough from Friday night til Sunday he pretty much cried all day and night, wouldn't sleep or eat. I noticed his Thrush had come back and so I took him back into the doctor and he got yet another prescription, his third.

Looking back I realized the one good week he has had his Thrush had cleared up. Between his chronic Thrush and eye and ear infection the poor boy has not had it easy. But the past two days I finally feel like my sweet boy is back...as long as he gets his beauty sleep.

3 Months Old

Hudson is now 3 months old. We are still trying to figure each other out but this much I do know.
Hudson loves; to smile, to talk, to be sung to, favorite hour of the day is 7 a.m. to 8 a.m., the baby bjorn, and the sound of his big sisters voice.

He is an active smiley little guy as long as he gets his beauty sleep.

Road Trip

Picture this, 6 adults, 3 kids, 2 strollers, a crib, a highchair, and 12 days of luggage backed in one car heading to California. How did we fit it all? Let's just say once you were in there was no getting out. You might think the most challenging part of the drive would be entertianing the kids or listening to a screaming baby or possibily stopping a lot to change diapers but no the kids were are wonderful, it was repacking the car every stop we made. How many stops? Three. First, we drove to St. George to walk in a fundraiser for MS to support my sister Andrea. Then off the Vegas for a night, next stop Victorville to visit Christy's dad. Then finally the finally destination Palm Springs, California. It was a long drive but well worth it. The weather was perfect, in the 80's, Bear loved swimming all day long, and I was enjoying being out of the snow. Unfortunately, Ryley got sick with an eye infection, nasty cough and running nose so trying to keep her away for the Hudson was difficult. We did the best we could but sharing a car and hotel made it challenging. I thought we were in the clear until a day after we got home Hudson sure enought came down with a cough and ear infection.

MS walk Jeff, my brother in law, got a award for rasing the most amount of money.

My sister Andrea we was diagnoised with MS about a year ago and her darling baby Cali.

Berkleigh is my little fish, I honestly couldn't get her out the pool. One day she stayed in the pool for 5 hours! Only taking a 10 min. break for lunch.

Cute Hudson has been smiling so much, it is hard to catch though because he gets so excited and can't hold still so the picture is blurred.

This is what I came home to, beautiful roses, a clean house, and a welcome home card from my wonderful husband. What more could I ask for?

Holy Shit!! Pardon my French but that is what my 2 year old said after Hudson pooped everywhere!! Just as I opened his diaper it was like a rocket flew out, I had to document it so people would believe how far it shot. Across the room all over the wall, chair, basket, and books, gross!! All I could do was laugh and Hudson just smiled.

First Family Outing

Between Josh working a ton and me feeling overwhelmed to leave the house we really haven't been anywhere as a family since Hudson was born. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day and since Josh drove 10 hours from Phoenix to see us for 24 hours before he heads back we wanted to squeeze in as much family time as possible. So we went to the zoo, watched Pinocchio and ate popcorn, and went to breakfast this morning. Although he wasn't here long we sure had a lot of fun!!

Aloha!!! We are in Hawaii right now loving the beach and the warm sun. I came with Josh's family and my lesbian lover Rachel,(ha ha!) in place of Josh. We are staying at a awesome resort and having fun relaxing time at the beach, pool, going on long walks, and hanging out with the family.

I let Mimi watch Hudson for an hour and she goes and gets him his first tattoo.

Last weekend my wonderful husband had to go to Dallas for a work conference so he flew in the next best thing to help me with the kids, one of my best friends Rachel Adair. I can not express how much help she was and how much fun Berkleigh and I had with her. I was finally able to venture outside, just the thought of packing up the two kids was a nightmare considering the other day I started getting ready to leave two hours in advanced and still managed to be late. I was so sad to see Rach leave and Bear keeps on asking for her to come back.

Hudson is now 2 weeks old and I have to say I have still not mastered the art of changing a boy's diaper. I am never quick enough. So far he has peed, or pooped, on the wall, mirror, bed, changing table, crib, floor, bathtub, bathroom counter, me, and himself numerous times. I think he is trying to get back at me for for getting him undressed, which he hates!! Other than that he is a great baby, he is more alert each day and his personality is starting to show. Here are a few new pictures of our little guy.

The other day Berkleigh turned to me
